St Lucia – Place of Dreams

We’ve just got back from St Lucia which lies about 220 Kilometres North of Durban on the East Coast of South Africa. The area around the village has been declared a World Heritage Site. Had a wonderful four days there. Just a few of the many shots I took.

About Don

I love life. Sometimes it makes sense, other times not. Discerning its underlying patterns and beauty always provides great reward and meaning and is a passion I ineptly follow. I feel deeply attached to nature and love the sea with its distinct moods and colour and find walking along its beaches wonderfully inspiring. Writing, sketching and photography is a sheer joy for me and the blog is one of the places I am able to express these pursuits.

Great photos, Don! I must say, though, that maybe the so-called “white” rhino should have been named the square-lipped rhino. Because it doesn’t look all that white, or am I missing something?!

Your St Lucia is very different from ours, which is an island in the eastern Caribbean Sea. Love, love, love your photographs! They are breathtaking!! Hmmm, I don’t think I have ever used the word “breathtaking” myself. And this is the perfect time to do it! 😉

Don are you alright, did you fall out of a tree -perhaps a concussion? Four days, I’d never return or I’d stayed lost longer than four days. Good shtufffs. Insert pathetic jealousy equivalent to London trip. Your images are everything and more than I could dream of Africa.

Beautiful pictures Don 🙂 seems like a funtabulous place to unwind. It brings back the beautiful memory of the early morning sunrise, birds chirping & the purity of nature that I witnessed during my trip to one of the national parks here. Hope you had a great time & took plenty more pics.
