A Sip of Wine and a Sunset

Sitting on our front verandah this evening and sipping wine, this scene greeted us. I took the photo with my phone. Cheers – to life and to sunsets.

About Don

I love life. Sometimes it makes sense, other times not. Discerning its underlying patterns and beauty always provides great reward and meaning and is a passion I ineptly follow. I feel deeply attached to nature and love the sea with its distinct moods and colour and find walking along its beaches wonderfully inspiring. Writing, sketching and photography is a sheer joy for me and the blog is one of the places I am able to express these pursuits.

Looks goooooooood. Sunset and wine, two great spirits.

In contrast, the sun is just beginning to set, though I doubt we’ll see it tonight. We’re being hit with snow squalls and streamers coming off the great lakes -intermittent white out conditions . With strong winds, though only -6 C, the wind chill is about -15. Had to put on fat man clothes (ie parka and thick mittens to take Elvira out for a romp). So uncork another bottle and drink on my behalf .

Beautiful shot Don! I liked your expression-‘Cheers to life and to sunsets’. Not many people in the world are able to carry that attitude 🙂 Have a safe journey to London and have a funtabulous time there with your kids.
