Street Art In Shoreditch – 1

Visited Shoreditch today, famous for it’s street art. Had a wonderful time finding and photographing the art. Here are the first group of images and I hope you enjoy them. I found them to be mesmerizing.

About Don

I love life. Sometimes it makes sense, other times not. Discerning its underlying patterns and beauty always provides great reward and meaning and is a passion I ineptly follow. I feel deeply attached to nature and love the sea with its distinct moods and colour and find walking along its beaches wonderfully inspiring. Writing, sketching and photography is a sheer joy for me and the blog is one of the places I am able to express these pursuits.

The street art is special. Shoreditch rang a bell in my mind (pardon the pun) and I finally realized it was the nursery rhyme – oranges and lemons, and then the line “when I grow rich says the bells of
Shoreditch!) Do they still ring bells at those old churches Don? So glad your,e enjoying all that
London has to offer, even the oh so cold weather. Love to Jane.

Thanks Katy. The bells still ring. Strange place is Shoreditch. A bit run down but then you have these little treasures of art scattered all over the place.

  14. You shared a stunning variety of artistic talents here, Don. Some of my favorite art is little known and often “un-discovered” with little or no appreciation, and my respect for the artists who keep creating just for the love of creating is huge.
    Thank you for this post!

I love that sentence of yours Marylin, “the artists who keep creating just for the love of creating is huge.” Deep down isn’t that what it’s all about.
