Street Art in Shoreditch – 2

My last post on street art in Shoreditch. Who are these artists? I really don’t know and not much information concerning their identities can be gleaned from those in the area. They are simply unknown, wonderful talent, but anonymous. Something attractive about this. No pulling and shoving for recognition or notoriety, just a simple anonymous expression of their talent. They remind me of the vast little daily expressions of all the unknown talent in the world that never gets itself in to the headlines, whatever the contribution, but nevertheless has a profound impact on our world and life around us. Here’s to that talent.

About Don

My name is Don Scrooby and I live in the United Kingdom. I have a deep love for nature and open spaces and one of my great loves in life is sketching, particularly in pen and water colour and occasionally in pencil. I’m quite new at the art and I sketch mainly from photographs I’ve taken, but also enjoy outdoor sketching. My sketchbooks, although no great shakes, are important to me and I decided to create my blog in order to share some of their contents with those who may be interested.

  1. As were the previous batch, lovely, Don. “Shunning the marquee”… a phrase I adopted years ago. Thanks for the continued shares.

Quite the collection, Don. They may be anonymous to us . . . but not to each other. But still, it’s nice not to have everyone jumping into the spotlight at every opportunity.
