Art in Windsor

Walking down a street in Windsor I saw this piece and photographed it.  I loved the colour, the action and especially the shapes of the shoes.

About Don

I love life. Sometimes it makes sense, other times not. Discerning its underlying patterns and beauty always provides great reward and meaning and is a passion I ineptly follow. I feel deeply attached to nature and love the sea with its distinct moods and colour and find walking along its beaches wonderfully inspiring. Writing, sketching and photography is a sheer joy for me and the blog is one of the places I am able to express these pursuits.

  1. It is such a fun piece. I am trying to figure out what they’re doing. Was there ten pin bowling when those shoes were in fashion?

  2. Wow, this is beautiful. I’ve never come across wrought-iron artwork like this before. I can’t quite tell what the action figures are doing, but I love all the details 🙂

I don’t know what they’re doing either, Don; though I sure like the way they’re doing it!

  7. You photograph the most interesting things, Don. This is an amazingly detailed piece, and yes, the shoes are a delight!

  8. What a beautiful piece. I hadn’t realised it was wrought iron until a comment said so. I looked at it for ages trying to work out what game they are playing. I’d like to find this next time we go to London. Thank you for this.
