No Internet Connection

Sorry for not being around, but we lost our internet connection on Sunday morning. They’ve only now been able to restore it. It’s still pretty slow but we’re getting there. If I missed responding to any comments, sorry about that as well. Hopefully now we’ll slowly get back to normal. 🙂

About Don

I love life. Sometimes it makes sense, other times not. Discerning its underlying patterns and beauty always provides great reward and meaning and is a passion I ineptly follow. I feel deeply attached to nature and love the sea with its distinct moods and colour and find walking along its beaches wonderfully inspiring. Writing, sketching and photography is a sheer joy for me and the blog is one of the places I am able to express these pursuits.

  2. It’s an eerie feeling, isn’t it? When you lose power, even for awhile–and once we did, totally, when an 18-wheeler skidded into a main power source–it made all the sci-fi movies seem too real for comfort.
    Welcome back.

This post would be a perfect example of not knowing just how much you miss something until it’s gone. Glad to hear you are back in business Don 😉

  5. It’s amazing how strong our connection to the world is through that little home connection. Glad you are back up and running.

Sometimes that’s not such a bad thing, but it doesn’t take long to begin itching for the comfort of our world w/n the internet. Sorry to hear the news and hope you will soon be back in full force. Glad things are starting to return to normal.

Glad to hear you got it back. Not a lot of fun being disconnected especially when it’s not of your choosing.

  10. It’s frustrating when the internet is very slow or falls totally off the grid. that’s my biggest problem in rural ecuador, though when the power and internet are off, i am able to focus 100 percent on my work, which is nice. but then there is a long queue of posts patiently waiting when i am online again – it’s a frustrating cycle.

it also helps us to appreciate fast internet when we have it! z
