“Back To The Future”

Happy Marty McFly Day to all.

I have  such wonderful memories of sitting on the couch with our two boys watching the Trilogy “Back To The Future.”

Do you remember this?

Dr. Emmett Brown: Who’s President of the United States in 1985?

Marty McFly: Ronald Reagan!

Dr. Emmett Brown: Ronald Reagan?! The actor?! Ha! Then who’s Vice President? Jerry Lewis?

About Don

I love life. Sometimes it makes sense, other times not. Discerning its underlying patterns and beauty always provides great reward and meaning and is a passion I ineptly follow. I feel deeply attached to nature and love the sea with its distinct moods and colour and find walking along its beaches wonderfully inspiring. Writing, sketching and photography is a sheer joy for me and the blog is one of the places I am able to express these pursuits.

Great movies Don. Unfortunately, unless a near miracle happens, the prediction from BTF II of the Chicago Cubs winning the World Series isn’t going to come true. I’m not a Cubs fan, but once they eliminated my team (Pittsburgh Pirates) I decided to root for them. Now they are down 3 games to 0 in the National League championship series.

  4. Yesterday on the radio here in Australia, I heard about a huge fan of Back to the future travelling over to LA forThe 30th Anniversary Fan Celebration that goes from Wednesday, October 21 – October 25th. He paid $10,000 for the experience. Thats commitment Don! 🙂

As fond of the film, as most seem to be, it is the memory of the place and moment spent with your sons that gets my thumbs up.

  9. Don, I had a good smile over the Ronald Reagan joke…hard to believe he was able to act his part in the White House for 8 years. Wonders never cease. Thanks for the reminder!
