Winter Light

Our fields are full of these at the moment. I shot this in the late afternoon light. As I’ve said before the golden light of Winter is something I so enjoy.

About Don

I love life. Sometimes it makes sense, other times not. Discerning its underlying patterns and beauty always provides great reward and meaning and is a passion I ineptly follow. I feel deeply attached to nature and love the sea with its distinct moods and colour and find walking along its beaches wonderfully inspiring. Writing, sketching and photography is a sheer joy for me and the blog is one of the places I am able to express these pursuits.

  1. Such an interesting plant Don do you know what it’s called? 🌿

  2. Dan Antion says:

Normally, I hate seeing these, Don, because I’d soon be picking them out of the dog’s coat. But this is beautiful.

  3. Hariod Brawn says:

A super capture, Don, and I’m drawn to the contrast between the arcing fronds and the straightness of the needles – an amazingly complex aesthetic, just as nature ubiquitously displays.

  4. Val Boyko says:

Great light on this teasing Teasle Don! My mum used to spray them gold for her Christmas arrangements. 💛

  5. Ooh, I love this one, Don!
